Delete your account

The fastest route, and it takes effect immediately.

• Open Dhangoda and go to the You tab.
• Scroll to Delete everything.
• Confirm. There is a warning screen, because this cannot be undone.

Everything on the phone is erased first, then the account itself. That order is deliberate: if the account deletion fails halfway — no signal, say — the worst outcome is an account you can no longer reach, rather than a wiped account on a phone that still holds every transaction for whoever opens the app next.

Use this if you have already uninstalled the app, or cannot sign in.

Write to india@dhangoda.com from the email address on the account, or tell us the phone number you signed in with. We will confirm within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30.

We ask you to write from the account’s own address so that nobody can delete someone else’s records by knowing their email.

• Your account and its sign-in identifiers.
• Every transaction, category, budget and merchant record synced to our servers.
• Your profile: your name, how you use Dhangoda, and the setup answers that go with it.
• Your home screen arrangement.
• Everything held on the device, if you delete from inside the app.

Two things sit outside our reach by design, and both are yours to remove directly.

Data already on another device. If you are signed in on a second phone, delete from that phone too, or use You → Delete everything there. Deleting the account stops it syncing but does not reach into a device we can no longer talk to.

Deletion is permanent, so export before you delete rather than after. Open You → Export a statement and choose PDF or spreadsheet. The file is written to your phone and shared wherever you choose; it does not pass through us.
